Social media personality Samkelo Shezi has officially confirmed that he and his fiancée, Mbalisto, whose real name is Hlengiwe Dlamini, have ended their relationship. The announcement, which left many fans heartbroken, was accompanied by a deeply emotional explanation as Samkelo shared the reasons behind his difficult decision to walk away from the woman he once planned to marry.
According to Samkelo, the breakup was not driven by hatred or a lack of love, but rather by his desire to protect his integrity and personal values. He explained that he would never stay in a relationship where he felt he might be accused of using or exploiting someone, especially when he knows in his heart that such claims are untrue. “I don’t have a heart to use someone,” he said, adding that it was better to leave than to allow damaging labels to follow his name.

From the very beginning of their relationship, Samkelo says he accepted and loved Mbali genuinely, treating her with respect and dignity. He admitted that it hurt him deeply to hear allegations that he was “using” her for personal gain, as he believes his intentions throughout their time together were pure and honest.
Addressing the financial accusations directly, Samkelo provided clarity on how they handled money during their relationship. He revealed that income from events was always shared equally, with both parties receiving 50 percent. Even on occasions when he was invited to events alone, he said he still ensured that Mbali received half of the earnings. To avoid any misunderstandings, Samkelo explained that he often paid for petrol from his own pocket so that no one could ever claim he benefited unfairly from their partnership. Similarly, income from promotions was always shared between them.

Samkelo also touched on personal challenges they faced as a couple. He disclosed that there were moments when Mbali would drink, insult him, and later apologise the following day. While he forgave her repeatedly, he eventually reached a point where he could no longer continue enduring the cycle.
He further clarified that both he and Mbali earn their own income through Facebook, stressing that he never relied on her financially. Ultimately, he chose to walk away because he still has many goals he wants to achieve in life and does not want his name associated with accusations that could harm his future.

In his message to supporters, Samkelo apologised to fans who admired their relationship and enjoyed the content they created together. He reassured them that his heart remains clean and that he hopes people can learn positive values from the way he handled the situation.
Samkelo also revealed that the couple had been planning a white wedding in Cape Town, scheduled for 3 January. Sadly, those plans have now been cancelled, marking the end of a chapter that many believed would lead to happily ever after.
