The Limpopo music industry has once again been shaken by news of a car accident involving a popular Lekompo artist, reigniting serious concerns about road safety, late-night travel, and the demanding schedules musicians endure. The latest incident involves well-known Lekompo rapper Tribby WaDi BhoZza, adding to a troubling pattern of road accidents affecting artists in the province.
Tribby WaDi BhoZza, born Tshepang Mphahlele, was involved in a car accident on the night he was travelling to a confirmed performance in Mpumalanga. According to information released by his management team, the accident occurred at approximately 10pm on the R40 road, a stretch notorious for heavy traffic and frequent accidents, particularly during night-time hours.
The artist was reportedly en route to The Village Pub and Grill in Acornhoek when the incident took place. News of the crash spread rapidly across social media platforms, triggering widespread panic among fans, fellow musicians, and industry stakeholders. Many initially feared the worst, given the recent history of serious accidents involving Limpopo artists.
Fortunately, Tribby WaDi BhoZza’s management later confirmed that no injuries were sustained in the accident. In a statement issued to Buzz Life News, the team reassured the public that the artist and everyone involved were safe. They described the incident as a frightening ordeal that could have had tragic consequences, noting that details surrounding the cause of the accident are still unclear.
