South African dancer and musician Limpopo Boy has broken his silence after an intimate video allegedly involving him began circulating across social media platforms.
The performer, whose real name is Robert Matome Thoka, addressed the controversy through a statement released by his management. The team condemned the distribution of the footage, describing it as unauthorised, malicious and a serious invasion of privacy.
According to the statement, the private content was obtained and circulated without Limpopo Boy’s permission.
“This content was stolen without consent and shared entirely without authorisation. This is a serious violation of privacy and a criminal matter,” his management said.
The footage, which has spread rapidly online, appears to have originated from a Facebook Story connected to an account bearing the name Limpopo Boy RSA. It reportedly shows the entertainer and an unidentified woman in a private setting.
His management said cybersecurity specialists had been brought in to investigate how the footage was obtained and identify the source of the alleged breach. Legal representatives and online hosting platforms were also reportedly being engaged in an effort to have copies and links removed.
“We are actively working with legal teams and hosting platforms to ensure the immediate removal of these links and files,” the statement continued.
The management team appealed to members of the public not to share, download or interact with the video. They warned that redistributing intimate material without consent could be unlawful and would cause further harm to the people involved.
Although comments on the official statement appeared to have been disabled, the incident continued to generate widespread discussion on other social media platforms.

Limpopo Boy is one of South Africa’s best-known dancers and online entertainers. Originally from Limpopo, he has built a large international following through his choreography, music and performances.
He has appeared on major stages, including the Global Citizen Festival, and has represented South Africa in international dance competitions. In July 2023, he won the Brussels Dance Battle in Belgium, further strengthening his international reputation.
The entertainer reportedly has more than four million followers on Facebook, over one million on Instagram and approximately two million on TikTok.
His management has urged the public to respect his privacy while investigations continue. Social media users have also been reminded that forwarding private sexual material can deepen the emotional harm caused by the initial leak and may carry legal consequences.
No further details have been released about how the video was allegedly accessed or whether a formal criminal complaint has been opened. Limpopo Boy has not issued a separate personal statement beyond the communication released by his management.
