Scholar Stabbed In Neck During Altercation: Trenance Park – KZN

A 17 year old boy stabbed during an altercation returned to his school with a large knife stuck in the back of his neck.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at Trenance Park Secondary in Trenance Park – KZN. On arrival, the male was located lying in a prone position in the office area. A large kitchen knife was protruding from the back of his neck. He was bleeding profusely from his injury.
The grade 10 student informed Reaction Officers that he was retuning to his residence in Amaoti – KZN when he was accosted by three (3) other students from the same school. An altercation ensued before one (1) of the males produced the knife and attacked the victim. The trio fled following the incident.
Details surrounding the altercation were not immediately known. The injured male was assisted by a passerby who returned with him to the school.
RUSA Paramedics are currently (Friday, 14:52) stabilising the scholar.
