
teenage girl who face was horrifically disfigured by a football-sized tumour growing in her mouth has had live-saving surgery on a floating hospital.
Seventeen-year-old Grace, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, had been living with the huge growth for ten years.
Although she was able to eat and speak, she was too self-conscious to go outside, and the doctors said the tumour was growing so fast it would eventually cause her to suffocate.
Grace says the operation has given her the confidence to re-join school, and that she wants to work for Mercy Ships one day.
