Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements
- 🌟 Unemployed: Applicants must not currently hold employment.
- 🌟 Not Enrolled Elsewhere: Applicants must not be enrolled in any institution for a qualification or learnership programme.
- 🌟 No Completed Post-Matric Qualification:Applicants with completed post-matric qualifications will not be considered. (Failure to disclose post-matric qualifications will result in disqualification.)
- 🌟 Age: Applicants must be aged 18-35 years (in line with NSDS III).
Educational Requirements
- 📘 Matric Certificate (Grade 12): Must include Mathematics and Physical Science with a minimum of Level 3 in all subjects.
- 📘 SAQA/NLRD Verification Report: Obtainable from the SAQA website and must be submitted.

Key Responsibilities
Participants in the learnership programme will:
- 🔹 Assist in the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants.
- 🔹 Monitor water and wastewater quality parameters.
- 🔹 Conduct basic laboratory tests.
- 🔹 Help maintain equipment and instruments.
- 🔹 Participate in water and wastewater sampling and analysis.
- 🔹 Attend classes and actively engage in discussions and activities.
- 🔹 Complete assignments and projects.
- 🔹 Write assessments and maintain a practical logbook for evaluations.
